Gossip Girl star Blake Lively rushed to her father’s side after his car tumbled down an embankment in L.A. on Monday, leaving him hospitalized with back and lung injuries.

“He’s going to make a full recovery, thankfully,” Blake’s mom, Elaine, tells Usmagazine.com.

“It was a horrific accident,” she adds. “He was on his way to the set of Criminal Minds, and he swerved to miss a car, and his car tumbled down an embankment.

“Blake is here, the whole family is here, and yesterday it didn’t look good,” says Elaine. “But thankfully, now we have been told he is going to make a full recovery. It’s all been taken care of.”

Ernie, “suffered back injuries, and also his lungs,” Elaine says. “But it if far less serious than we thought yesterday.

“We do not know when he will be out of hospital,” she says. “We are just happy he is going to be OK.”

As the summer draws to a close in the Hamptons, Serena (Blake Lively) and Nate (Chace Crawford) have everyone fooled into thinking they are a couple to cover up the fact that Nate has been hooking up with a married older woman (guest star Amick) and Serena has been secretly mourning her break-up with Dan (Penn Badgley). Blair (Leighton Meester) returns from abroad with a hot guy on her arm (guest star Patrick Heusinger), making a very jealous Chuck (Ed Westwick) question his decision to leave Blair stranded at the heliport. Dan has spent the summer assisting a famous author (guest star McInerney), but decides to head to the Hamptons to see how things stand with Serena after a summer spent apart. While interning for Eleanor Waldorf’s company, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) sneaks an invite to a much-coveted Hamptons’ White Party at which Eric (Connor Paolo) introduces her to socialite Tinsley Mortimer. Matthew Settle also stars. J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Joshua Safran.

So I’m back from my holiday. But I can’t update because of some problems with ftp. This means no new pictures untill this is fixed. I am really sorry for this. But I will keep you updated with the latest on Blake (just not the pictures)

Hey guys! We are so sorry for not updating. Miem and I are both very busy + Miem is already on vacation. I will leave tomorrow so I’m not sure if I get a chance to upload the latest pictures. Miem will return July 31st and will update you guys with the latest on Blake (which will probably a lot since the Sisterhood 2 will premiere August 6th). I’ll be back August 28th.
